Foresthill Fire Protection Board

CENTRAL FIRE DISTRICT GOVERNING AUTHORITY

Foresthill Fire Protection District (herein referred to as District) was established in 1947 by the Placer County Board of Supervisors. The District is a California Special District (Independent) as a local government agency with taxation authority.

POLICY ADOPTING GOVERNING BY POLICY

The policy of the Fire District Board (herein referred to as Board) recognizes that one of its major functions is to serve as the policy-making body of the District and to govern the activities and shape the future of the District. At the same time, the Board preserves for the Fire Chief and the professional staff the responsibility of the day-to-day administration and operations of the District in a manner consistent with the policies and procedures of the Board. It is, therefore, the intent of the Board of this District to set forth a series of policies and board meeting procedural rules to govern the conduct and deliberations of the business conducted by the Board and to serve as a guide for the professional staff in carrying out the daily functions of the Fire District.
